If Mike Scioscia Were the Red Sox manager...

He would lose his job over calling for a squeeze with the season on the line. It is a risky, unpredictable play upon which you simply cannot wager your season.

I only feel bad for the guy that he will have to think about it for the entire winter.

Well, now the two best teams in baseball have been eliminated....it's anyone's game.

Comments:
You may be right, but oh, how glad I am that Mike Scioscia is not the Red Sox manager. That would mean that he would not be the Angel manager and that my team, who admittedly cannot play even little-league-championship-worthy baseball once they hit the postseason, wouldn't ever make it to the postseason.

And also, for the record, I loathe the Red Sox to an unhealthy degree. I think getting it out in the open might help me process.

I see your hatred...all I can do is recommend the 12 step program I went through in my hatred of the Giants. Now, I also have an antipathy towards the Red Sox and Giants, but it never reaches the dramatic heights that it once did. Interestingly, one of the reasons I don't like the Sox is the kind of cutthroat decisions they make (like when they fired Grady Little for making a bad decision in the playoffs). Scioscia would be the victim of that were he in that kind of regime. All I know is that the Angels need to rethink something, because they are turning into the Braves, and they are better than that. I'm sorry that they couldn't beat them for you...go Rays.

Amen, brother! The Rays barely pulled it off tonight though. And unfortunately, last night, they were playing Angel style ball. That's no good. I hope they can play Ray style ball in Boston.
