Something Brewin'
I must say, there seems to be something special in the mix between the two best teams in the NL right now. The last three games between the Phillies and Dodgers have been outstanding. That coupled with the fact that these two teams met in last year's NLCS, and it seems like we may be seeing something of a rivalry in the making. These two teams both have outstanding young talent coupled with choice veterans who round out their teams. Cole Hamels dazzled the Dodgers Thursday night with a complete game shut out, and now the Dodgers have won two in a row on walk off hits by Andre Ethier. In both games, the Dodgers had to get past Brad Lidge (one of baseball's best closers) in the ninth inning.
It would be great to see these two storied franchises begin to have a special rivalry. The Phillies have a great team, and it is fun to watch the kind of competition that has been going on at Dodger Stadium the last three days.
